Executive Assistant
The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of
administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work
independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly
well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a
small office of diverse people and programs. Strong attention to detail is
required. Confident, articulate and intellectually quick with an upbeat,
positive approach. Able to work independently as well as closely. Role may
require some national and international travel.
The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment,
sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and
efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial
to this role. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong
decision making ability and attention to detail are equally important.
MUST HAVE:
•4+ years experience supporting at the executive level
• Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex
executive meetings
• high level of proficiency in Keyboard and Computer Skills, which will include
an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Application Suite
(Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Good communication skills and use of
language at the highest levels.
Excellent Powerpoint / Presentation skills especially required in preparation
and editing of presentations, studies and notes intended for external
stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience scheduling travel arrangements for management
STRONGLY PREFER:
• Support experience in a financial institution professional services, sales or
marketing environment
• Background in Investment banking
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree

The Executive Assistant will:
1. Assume a degree of representational leadership in respect of ad-hoc
administrative support to the teams as and when needed (especially in the MD’s
absence). Report potential conflict areas and areas for improved efficiencies in
operational activities with other members of the FCMB group Coordinate and
report project status for multiple transactions.
2. Provide office management, administrative support and operational process
support to the CEO/MD and its teams. Extensive Diary Management and arranging
face to face and telephone conferences. Review all internal and external mail
and respond to routine mails on behalf of COO. Organising meetings, determining
and inviting attendees, scheduling lunch, dinner and reception invitations
3. Provide Operational Support to the CEO and the transaction, trading and
product teams as and when needed. Facilitate operational process efficiencies.
Research and report on global issues in areas of interest to the office. Ensure
the flow of information between CM and other units within the FCMB group.
4. Provide and coordinate administrative, security, protocol and other services
with respect to meetings with visitors. Finalize local and international travel
arrangements, hotels, car rentals, visas and claims, Liaise with protocol on all
official travel of the CEO.

Senior Trader
Role
Responsible and accountable for managing trading books with regards to
positions, mark-to-market, P&L and risk and ensures that he/she complies with
all legal and regulatory requirements.
Manage issues to significant impact across the business and interact well with
related business areas. These will require integration/coordination across a
number of different areas.
Candidate must have regional knowledge in equity trading and will be charged
with developing an equities trading desk to service third party and proprietary
transactions. Must have managed a propriety brokerage for an institution. Person
will be charged with managing a portfolio of NGN 3 Billion.
Provide specific expert advice on own area of expertise, demonstrating technical
knowledge and commercial judgment. Generate profit through speculative trading
in the Nigerian markets
Responsible for the development, maintenance, and execution of successful
trading strategies.
Responsible for the development of market research reports/tools and execution
tools that are necessary to support trading and portfolio optimization.
Work collaboratively with other traders and research staff to analyze market
conditions and identify trading opportunities.
Execute trades in financial and other products, including forwards, spot, swaps,
options, and futures.
Work with research staff, as well as independently, develop and maintain
software tools required for effective trading, portfolio management, and
reporting.
Develops and maintains counter-party and broker relationships required to
provide the company with maximum market coverage in the relevant term and market
The candidate
Candidate must be CIS certified with minimum 5 years post CIS qualification
experience.
Ideally, strong academic track record, a Post Graduate degree with 5 years
experience and a background in local and International equity trading.
Candidate must have regional knowledge in equity trading and will be charged
with developing an equities trading desk to service third party and proprietary
transactions. Must have managed a propriety brokerage for an institution. Person
will be charged with managing a portfolio of NGN 3 Billion.
Demonstrate risk management skills. They will be servicing local and foreign
institutional clients.
The successful candidate will work closely with the research team and equity
traders. The role will require deep understanding of equity market valuations
and an ability to convey such articulately.
A proven track record for managing market risk through taking of trading
positions and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Previous use of DataStream, Bloomberg or Reuters will be beneficial in this role
