CSL Stockbrokers (CSL) is a subsidiary of FCMB. Its research divisions product offering includes sector reports (initiation) and regular updates, Nigeria @ 9.00am a unique and independent daily commentary on the key issues affecting Nigeria; financial markets – and weekly commentaries covering equity and fixed income market strategy, recommendations, and the views of CSL Research experts.

The Research team has initiated coverage on most of the major sectors of the NSE, including the banking sector, cement, petroleum marketing, breweries and the consumer goods. The team plans to launch coverage on the food and beverages sector before the end of 2010.

Between them, CSL's Research team members have over 40 years of international experience in both developed and emerging markets. The equity research team is led by Olubunmi Asaolu, a CFA charter holder who had previously been with Lehman Brothers Europe (now Nomura) for close to six years where he covered European technology stocks.

In 2009, CSL appointed a senior economist, Gregory Kronsten, to head up the macro-economic product. Gregory has a life-time of experience working on African economics, including a period when he headed up the African team in the much-respected Economist Intelligence Unit. Shortly after Gregorys appointment, CSL recruited Guy Czartoryski as a multi-sector analyst to drive the fixed income and strategy products. Guy;s background is in emerging markets. In January 2010, he launched three model portfolios which are published in CSL's Strategy Weekly.
